Dozens upon dozens of ornately decorated Christmas trees await visitors of all ages in this Winter Wonderland at Gatlinburg's W. L. Mills Conference Center on Friday & Saturday from 4 - 7 p.m. Admission for the Festival of Trees is free.
Then, savor the sights and sounds of the holiday season with the 7 p.m. presentation of Nutcracker "Sweet" by the Smoky Mountain Dance Theater Company, a group of dance students from Sevier, Knox, Jefferson and Cocke counties. There is an admission fee for the performance in the W.L. Mills Auditorium. To secure advance tickets or for more information, call the Elizabeth Williams School of Dance at 865-453-9702.

Pigeon Forge 's Winterfest Kick OffNovember 9
On Thursday, November 9, Pigeon Forge will complete the Smoky Mountain Winterfest kick-off events with their celebration beginning at 5:30 p.m. The evening's entertainment will prelude the flip of the switch, lighting up the brisk Pigeon Forge evening skyline with the city's display of over five million lights. After the light ceremony, trolley light tours begin. Rides are scheduled through the last Friday in January, with $5 admission. Call 865-429-7350 for more details.
The fun and celebration of Winterfest continues through February 2006. Special events to look forward to include the Wilderness Wildlife Week, a celebration of the outdoors and top-rated educational festival.
